The General Assembly Meeting of the RVOA on November 30, 2019

After one hour of meeting time, quorum not achieved.

The meeting of the General Assembly of Riffa Views Owners Association commenced at 7:00pm on Saturday 30th November 2019 at Riffa Views International School in Al Mazrowiah at the Southern Governorate. After one hour of meeting time, quorum not achieved.

At 08:00pm, Mr. Yasser Abdulrahman Alraee, Managing Director of Riffa Views B.S.C (c) (the Developer) addressed the attendees, in the presence of a panel comprising:

Dr. Abdulmajeed Al Awadhi, Chairman of the Interim Committee of Riffa Owners Association.
Mr. Abdul-Haq Mohammed, Partner of Trowers & Hamlins, the Legal Consultant of the Developer.
Mr. Abdulrahim Haji, Director of Business Development of the Developer.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Distinguished Audience,

We express our thanks and appreciation to all homeowners who attended in this meeting. The quorum to hold the General Assembly of the Riffa Views Owners Association requires participation of 50% of unit owners (527). Now and after one hour of the scheduled time of the General Assembly, attendance is as follows:

Attending – 109 owners.
Voting by proxy – 10 owners.
Voting by voting paper – 333 owners.
Personal representatives – 0 owners.

The total was 452 units, (42%) of the 1052 units in Riffa Views.

In accordance with the provisions and articles of Law No. (27) of 2017 with respect to promulgating the Real Estate Sector Regulation Law and Resolution No. (7) of 2018 regulating owners associations and joint properties, issued by the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), if a quorum is not achieved within 60 minutes from start of the meeting, the meeting will be adjourned and reconvened after seven days at the same time and place, and the meeting will proceed regardless of the number of owners participating.

Therefore, we invite you to participate in the next meeting scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 7:00 pm at the same place at Riffa Views International School.

There being no other business, the meeting ended at 8:15 pm.
