Riffa Views holds Breast Cancer Walkathon, supports Bahrain Cancer Society

Residents of the Riffa Views’ three estates, the Lagoons, the Oasis and the Park, attended the event in which the Bahrain Cancer Society participated.

The attendees took part in the walkathon, and the Riffa Views (the Developer) gave a financial donation to the Bahrain Cancer Society, within the annual support provided annually by the company to civil society organisations, as part of its commitment to the social responsibility principle.

On the occasion, Managing Director of the RV Real Estate, Yasser Abdulrahman Al-Raee, commended the efforts exerted by the Bahrain Cancer Society to deliver support to cancer patients and take care of their families, as well as raise awareness on the disease and ways to prevent it.

He also praised the Bahrain Cancer Society’s support for the walkathon held by the Riffa Views management on the occasion.

The Bahrain Cancer Society’s Treasurer, and Head of Fund Raising Committee, Ahmed Ali Al Nowakhda, lauded the donation presented by the Riffa Views Company, hailing the success of the Riffa Views’ walkathon in terms of organisation and massive participation by the local residents.

He stressed that the Bahrain Cancer Society would continue supporting and sponsoring all programmes and events aimed at increasing awareness on all types of cancer.

Held at the Parks estate, the Riffa Views’ walkathon featured a variety of programmes that appealed to the participants. 

In this regard, the Royal Bahrain Hospital conducted medical examinations for the attendees, and raised their awareness on the dangers of cancer, as well as on ways to prevent and treat them.

The Royal Bahrain Hospital’s specialized team also raised the awareness of the participants on the danger of breast cancer, and highlighted the importance of its early detection, in addition to ways to treat it.
