As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy living environment within our community, we would like to draw your attention to an extremely important issue that concerns us all: the proper disposal of dog waste.

Security teams have reported an increase in incidents involving the improper disposal of dog feces within our community. Whether it be on pavements, grassy areas, or even on the sand along walking paths. To maintain public decency, we will not send you pictures of dog waste, as the waste has been removed. from 33 sites in just one day!

The presence of dog waste poses several serious concerns: 

• First and foremost, allowing dog feces to remain in public areas is highly disrespectful to your fellow residents. It not only detracts from the beauty of our surroundings but also creates an unpleasant and unhygienic environment for everyone.

• It poses a risk to the health and safety of both humans and animals, dog feces left on pavements, grassy areas and sand can easily be stepped on by other residents or their pets, leading to the spread of harmful bacteria and parasites. This not only puts our furry companions at risk but also increases the likelihood of transmitting diseases to humans. 



• Additionally, the presence of dog waste attracts unwanted pests such as mice and rats, further compromising the cleanliness and sanitation of our living spaces.

In order to address this issue effectively, we urge all dog owners within our community to take responsibility for their pets and ensure that their waste is properly disposed of in designated receptacles. This includes carrying waste bags during walks and promptly cleaning up after your dog, regardless of where they choose to relieve themselves.

Additionally, it is imperative that all dog owners adhere to the following rules:

• Leash Policy: Keep your dog on a leash at all times when outside of your home or designated areas to ensure safety of both your pet and other residents.

• Immediate Waste Removal: as mentioned above, promptly remove your dog's waste immediately after they eliminate. It is essential to carry multiple waste bags with you during walks to ensure you have an adequate supply.

• Vaccination: Ensure your dog is fully vaccinated to protect them and other dogs within the community from potential diseases.

Additionally, it is the responsibility of dog owners to communicate these instructions clearly to any individuals who walk their pets on their behalf (housekeeper, driver, etc.). It is crucial that these individuals also carry multiple waste bags during walks to comply with the above.

To further enforce compliance with these guidelines, the following measures will be implemented:

• Financial Penalty: A financial penalty of 100 Bahraini Dinar (BD) will be applied to residents who fail to comply with the above rules. This penalty aims to deter non-compliance and cover the costs associated with waste cleanup and maintenance. This penalty is stipulated in the Riffa Views Owners Association By-Laws.

• Security Inspections: RV security personnel will conduct regular inspections to monitor and report any incidents of dog waste left unattended. Anyone can also report such incidents at any time by clicking on the link here.

By taking these simple yet crucial steps, we can collectively contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and enjoyable living environment for everyone in our community.
